Changing Direction of this Blog

I used to use this blog more for articles to clients and web designers, but in the last 6 months I have really moved away from doing web design jobs and definately would say we do more web development. My roll in most of those projects are project manager/designer/coder. This means most of my “discoveries” have changed from dealing with things like “how to understand my clients” to why Sass kicks ass and why CSS frameworks are a must.

With blogs, I think the only way they are successful is for you to “write what you know” and therefore I guess this is my official decree and explanation of why this blog is about to get a lot more technical. I don’t think this will upset too many people (if any), but I thought I would put it out there for anyone who reads this looking for information on freelancing or business practices. I recommend  Freelance Switch and Web Worker Daily for those sort of posts.

So look forward to more technical posts soon, and a new blog I am opening up about web designing specifically for rails.

About Lynn Wallenstein

My name is Lynn Wallenstein and I am one of the co-founders of Powered By Geek, a contracting and consulting firm formed by some friends and I who were sick of working 100 hour weeks while our bosses get richer but that is a whole other story. This is where I ramble about all things design, code, project or whatever based both for PBG and for my collection of personal projects.
