I am currently on the hunt for two pieces of Blog software…. one for me, to replace this HTML editing, and one for use by my family. I don’t think I will be able to solve both problems with one piece of software as our needs are completely different. I am looking for something that will make NO aesthetic changes to my web site what so ever, so I am looking for something 100% customizable… I think I will probably end up with TextPattern, but for my family I am looking for something exactly the opposite. I want something with Blog entries, comments, images and link posting. I have tried bBlog, Nucleus and even GreyMatter, but they are either lacking in features, buggy or require knowledge of HTML for template editing. Today I yet again was shown that arguing on the internet is retarded. I guess somewhere deep down I still want to believe that with messageboard, blogs, newsgroups and all that shit, it is about what you say, not who you are, but those days have long come and gone. The internet “communities” are becoming just as socially tiered as highschool, which different “cool kids” for each venue and anyone making a challenging point, being accused and shot down. Oh well, that is why I got rid of LVGEEK and I moved to FreeNode servers on IRC, to much personal bullshit. I still have hope for one message board yet, http://pisteuo.org/, is a great place for faith debates and the community is very pro-comment, less personal linkage. I am done giving people advice… they don’t want it and I am just wasting my breath.
