Monday, March 24th, 2003I am sore. Lora and her roomate Christine are visiting and we walked up and down the strip and this morning I am paying for it. Pretty much just relaxed this weekend which was nice. I am going to be taking off this Friday for my birthday. I finished reading Pattern Recognition by William Gibson. I have to say that I was quite disappointed. Being the first fiction book I have read in close to two years (I have started a few but not got very far..), I had high expectations, and this book just didn’t live up to it. I would give the book an A+ all the way through it until the last 50 pages or so, then the story gets an F-….. as with any mystery/suspense story the entire plot is littered with clues and strange events that the main character has to pull together to “solve the mystery”, well there was plenty of clues and great potential for a good ending, but Gibson went off on some whacked plotline, leaving things that were dwelled on in the story un-answered, characters that he went into in some detail ending up being unimportant and of course the main character becomes an internet slut on the last page. *SIGH*
